Bought and played around with Frenden's new wash brushes, and they are damn fun.
There's something very therapeutic about brushes that twist and change while you work with them. (coupled with the beauty of being able to undo any mistakes you don't like!)
Also re-learning the importance of giving myself time to doodle. Like R.E.M. sleep, there's something important about it, a dryness settles over your mind if you deprive yourself too long

So I recently jumped ship from from an iPhone to a samsung note 3, and I'll tell you what, having a digital sketchbook in your pocket is pretty damn awesome.
Ironically there are waaay fewer drawing programs on android than there are on IOS, but there is one gleaming gem in a sea of mediocrity.
Clover Paint.
Probably the most needlessly complex drawing program I've ever used (way, way more needlessly complex than photoshop) It still manages to be highly functional and powerful.
(you can even export to .psd! awesome.)
